hosting a Halloween Party with the help of his band Powerslave, the best Iron Maiden cover band around. This will all take place on November 1st at The Right Spot. It would be great to see some of you Phucknutz there!

Metallica cover band ...
Tonight, Thursday ... July 11 at the Oxygen is a Metallica cover band called Misery. It should phucking rock if there are any headbangers out there ... ahhhh the sweet smell of live music with phucking attitude ... yeah baby !!!
If you are a Metallica fan, check out the Encyclopedia Metallica website. It has a shitload of information regarding the band, including just about all of their tour dates, including the track list. It had information on the three times I've seen them, once in Moncton, once in
Montreal and once in Hamilton. The Montreal show was the one where Jaymz burned his arm in a pyro incident. Seems appropriate that the song they were playing at the time was my favorite "Fade To Black" ...
tigman69 writes: THEY RULE! VERY NICE STORY. IF SOMEBODY DOESNOT LIKE IT; PHUCK THE PHUCKEN PHUCKER!
PowerSlave writes: Dammit ... none of the rolls were from the Montreal trip. I must have another roll somewhere. Phuck! Anyway, two of the rolls were from my class trip to Toronto in 1989. I've put a few of the pix on my personal webspace at http://user.fundy.net/mbarrett/ under "Photographs".
STEELYN writes: Oh Oh....should be interesting...
PowerSlave writes: You know, I just realized that I have 3 rolls of undeveloped film ... and I think one of the rolls is from that little trip to Montreal. I'm gonna drop them off to get developed today. Hopefully, it's still good ...
STEELYN writes: Cool stuff! I was there in Moncton and Montreal, very good concerts except in Montreal when the fire incident happened. Ah well we caught them again the next month in Toronto, that was a super show with Guns n' Roses!!
Ozzy News ...
Well my gawd Ozzy has been in the news a whole lot lately. Hard to believe that when I first started listening to him almost 20 years ago he was virtually unknown and now has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and his own hit TV show. "The Osbournes" is drawing the biggest MTV ratings ever. It's strange though, now that he's a cultural icon and all, I find it a just a bit less fun to tell people I'm an Ozzy fan. Used to be they would look at you strange and say "Ozzy! That idiot!". Now everyone is like "Yeah, he's kewl!", but most of them haven't listened to some of his better and lesser known songs such as "You Can't Kill Rock And Roll" and "Waiting For Darkness". Hey that's a whole lotta links that open different stories ... check 'em all.
Rumors are the local band, An Acoustic Sin, is breaking up and their last performance is tonight (March 23rd) at the Igloo. I heard for years that they were great and only saw them for the first time back in November. It's too bad ... check them out if you have the chance.
Freaky_France writes: Damn, I'm just reading about this today (25th)...phuck I missed it! It's too bad cause they did ROCK big time every time.
misschanic writes: They're pretty awsome. Especially Steve the guitar player. What a Show!
PowerSlave writes: FYI ... they rocked.
PowerSlave writes: Ooops ... yes ... March 23rd.
misschanic writes: Is tonight Saturday night?
Subliminal/Earth @ Oxygen ...
Went to see Earth at the Oxygen last night. Earth is a Black Sabbath cover band and they kicked ass. They covered all the Sabbath classics and an extra few Ozzy tunes. The singer does an awesome Ozzy impersonation. The opening band was called Subliminal and they phuckin' rock. They covered songs from kickass groups such as Pantera and Nirvana just to name a few but I was really impressed with their own original material. Definitely worth seeing again. Some guy was taking pix with a digital camera and I asked him to send me some so I'll post some if I get 'em.
Howdy from Steven. I just came back from Alabama, while there I met the drummer from this band Warmachine check it out ~~ http://www.warmachineonline.com/main.htm From their bio page: "Warmachine is a young 4-piece 'old school' metal band based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Their musical style consists of catchy melodies with aggressive and energetic rhythms that create a sound that has been found to be very appealing to a wide range of audiences." And their site has excellent quality mp3z for download!
PowerSlave writes: Ok, I like to think that I know metal and I gotta say, Warmachine is damn good. It's certainly 'old school' ... reminds me of the early Maiden, Megadeth, Metallica sound.
