Scoudouc River Run! ...
It's getting that time again for the famous run. Should be soon seeing the mild weather but let's hope for some more rain and snow to make sure there's enough water. As soon as there is more information, me, Dale or Farmer I'm sure will send it along!
PowerSlave writes: I've heard that some people attempted a run last Sunday, but that for the most part it's phucked for this year.
ArcticMonster writes: tigman69, can you get me some tickets for the oldTown Canoe?
daniel.r.landry@gmail.com
send me an email and I will go see you for some.
Bud_Green writes: Need rain ....water levels are too low
Adam writes: I'm in when the official date is released.
Canoe Time Again ...
if you guys have any information on the canoeing, please share?
We went to the malakoff section to see if it was open and it is, but still lots of snow on the sides of the rivers, so not sure if it's good to go yet.
Adam writes: Taking the jaunt in a coleman just isn't the same - The Predator C-160 has proven to be a stable vessel capable of making any river journey without spilling a single drop of beer. We're doing the pollet in the next couple of weeks.
tigman69 writes: the run was great with over 250 registered canoeist. Biggest turn out ever!Poker hands were 1st 4 of a kind of 7s, second was four of a kind 2s and third was full house.
Bud_Green writes: Wow I went down the river with a bunch of losers too , Farmer was so drunk he broke his outboard and cried like a little girl
tigman69 writes: Just paddle the scoudouc last sat.(april 9)w/ a bunch of loosers, but the river was great and so was the weather.Eh Bud green??
ArcticMonster writes: Thanks everyone. I think we will be running it this weekend also, either sunday or saturday. We will also be doing M'Cook river.
Scoudouc Canoe Run ...
It's that time of year again. I can't wait for the River to open up so I can go try the new canoe. Just got a Coleman Exlorer 166 from Costco. Anyways, can someone who follows the canoe club send me an email when the river is fully opened? send it at boune @ rocketmail.com. Thanks!
garb writes: wow!! that was a great run! other than the rain/snow, we had an awesome time. everyone said our stop was the best. Me and Dale said we'd do it again for sure! next time, we buy more beer and sell it.
ArcticMonster writes: Yeah, weather doesn't look to promising. As i'm writing this, it's raining pretty hard in Dieppe, so hopefully all the rain for the rest of april will come down today (as if).
Rain or shine, i'm paddling the river. See you guys there....
PS. you won't be the only LOUD DRUNK.
garb writes: looks shady for the weather for saturday. please update if and when they would decide if the rain date (may 1st) would be set if it rains too bad.
garb writes: I'm Steelyn's brother. Not sure if I met you but probably...haha!! i'll be the drunk and loud one...haha!!
ArcticMonster writes: Right on. I can't wait to go. Carole and I will be heading out too. Garb, not sure who you are, but when I see a guy with a guitar at a stop, i'll say "What's UP".
We did the Pollett River last saturday, April 17, and man, what a blast. We had done Little River by Parkindale on good friday. That was a nice river.
Scoudouc River Run April 6, 2002 ...
Well it's that time of year...time to take the dust off the old canouz and have a great time in the outdoors! Saturday April 6, 2002 will be the 13th Annual Scoudouc River Run. Pre-registration may be done @ the Bayou Friday night April 5th or you may register Saturday morning "au pont a Fisher" in Scoudouc from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. If the weather is really shitty (raining) the rain date is next Saturday, April 13th. Tigman69 and I will be BBQing "a la quarrie". We'll be cooking some hotdogs, hamburgers, cheezburgers and we'll be keeping the home fires burnin' so you'll be able to enjoy a bite to eat and warm up by a nice fire...sounds almost romantatic Ha!Ha! If some of you Phucknutz don't have enough balls to go canoing, just drop by "the quarrie" and you can buy a Poker hand for $5.00 without gettin' in a canoe. We'll be there after 2:00 pm. Paddle safely and please don't litter....cauz that just pisses me off Ha!Ha! C ya Saturday!
STEELYN writes: Well we had a great time even if the weather really sucked at the end. I took some pictures, just trying to finish my film. We were the sweepers so we missed out on some action like the famous polar dip!!
garb writes: well, for those who weren`t there, we all had a great time. Weather was ok for most of the day and MOST of us didn`t tip...haha!! by the way, someone went for a polar dip, butt naked. Can any guess who?? thought so. It isn`t that difficult...
PowerSlave writes: OK ... I wasn't there so someone submit a story with the 411 on the run. If you got pics, fire them off to me.
